Uni Project - 'Cone Vision'
In this project I explored personification in a series of minimalist installations.
Through distortion and strategic placement of road cones i was able to portray a series of human emotions.
Combining elements of symbolism and provacative positioning, the final installation was designed with three elements in mind.
Blocks of polystyrene take on the appearance of concrete as they consume and constrict the first vulnerable cones.
On the walls overlooking the floor setting, are the Watchers..

These cones are seen as both faces and bodies, with elements of abstract human form and key facial features visible.
Beneath their gaze, Life goes on.
